ACCOMMODATION AND COMFORTS

 

Agnes Kay II is a fully modernised, liveaboard charter boat that can accommodate up to 12 day passengers or 8 liveaboard passengers, in 2 cabins and 3 saloons. Although compact, sleeping and living spaces are comfortable and well appointed, with all mod cons.

There are excellent cooking facilities and Ewan is no stranger to the galley. There is ample power for laptops/mobiles/hairdryers/etc. The toilet facilities offer a superb hot shower and the whole ship is fitted with convenient grab rails for safety and accessibility.

 

 

SAFETY & TECHNICAL

 

Qualified crew are on hand to ensure your comfort and safety throughout your time at sea. The vessel is equipped with all the up to date navigation and life saving equipment required for extensive coverage of the North Sea.

There is a crane capable of lifting up to 250kg - making loading heavy items safe and efficient.

 

 

CREW

 

Agnes Kay Charters owner and Skipper, Ewan Anderson, has over  26 years experience at sea. From his early years messing around in a rowing boat in the harbour in his native Whalsay, Ewan has experienced working all over the world on all sorts of vessels including fishing boats, ferries, workboats and tugs. He is now fulfilling his dream of offering charter services and passing on his passion for both the sea and Shetland's stunning scenery.

 

 

HISTORY

 

Built 1961 - Clem Patterson - Macduff for Cowie brothers as a fishing boa

for Scottish waters.Agnes Kay IIyfisheddundernvarious7ownershipoforemany years before finally being  decommissionedind2007. She was then  given

£150,000 refit by Parkol inWhitby and transformed into the comfortable liveaboard vessel you see today..
